Smaller country stations would often have no resident station master, so the passenger structures were considerably smaller. This design is that if the Great Western Railway (GWR), many still being in use today. It wasnt just branch lines would often have a small station, villages situated on a main line would often have a small station served by local trains while the expresses whistled through without stopping.
